  • and MORE!

ParentSquare is HERE!

Some of you may remember me pitching ParentSquare to the Stanton Community last year. Well, it’s finally here! You may have noticed that for the last month or so, any messages that you’ve received from Stanton Elementary or CVUSD has come “via ParentSquare”. What you may not have noticed is the control and flexibility this new service now gives you in how you received these messages.

Here’s what you can do with ParentSquare:

  • Receive messages from the school via email, text or app notification
  • Choose to receive information as it comes or all at once at 6pm daily (digest)
  • Communicate in your preferred language

Various groups at Stanton, such as the Stanton Parents Association, can also post and messages ParentSquare. This will centralize all of the various types of communication into one easy to use service, while still protecting the privacy and contact information of each of our Stanton Families. SPA’s own newsletter will be migrated from mailchimp over to ParentSquare in the next couple of weeks.

You do not need to do anything!

ParentSquare is part of the Aeries SIS (Student Information System), and as a member of the Stanton Community you are already enrolled. None of your private information is shared with anyone outside of CVUSD Administrators. And, you can opt out of messaging or notifications at any time simply by clicking “unsubscribe” on an email you receive, or replying “STOP” to any text message. (You cannot opt out of emergency alerts)

Log into the web portal, or download the app, to take control.

I strongly encourage all of you to access your accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.

Getting access to the web portal is easy. If you’ve never visited the site before, you will need to create a password. Enter the same email address you used when registering your child(ren) in Aeries. You will then be sent a confirmation email with a link to where you can enter a new password.

Once you are signed in, you will be taken to the Dashboard page. Here, you can browse posts made by various groups. If you have children in more than one school, you can select which child’s/school’s information you want to view on the left hand side of the page. If you would like to filter the information you are viewing to a particular class or group, you can do so in drop down box in the top right corner of the page. Click here to get more information on how to use ParentSquare, including how to take control of the notifications.

You can also download the mobile app, available on both iPhone and Android.
